It proved too good for Venus. She was way too bright for the slit viewer so we couldn't determine proper locations. Additionally, the chip started reading all 0's on the last two Venus exposures and I had to restart the ICC (a hub startNubs didn't work). I was able to restart and test while moving and focusing on a standard star so not too much time was lost. Then we had clouds roll in...and haze, so while seeing was good, transparency was just the worse. Everything else went off without a hitch, even the laser worked perfectly tonight! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NM02 E I/S 19:34 19:48 Echelle ICC restart ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:31 ecamera 974( -238) -5 31 4.7 6.2 5.3 6.0 5.8 ND5 0.98 19:47 ecamera 826( -476) -39 34 4.6 4.5 5.0 4.6 4.6 clear 0.80 20:47 arctic 745( 615) -27 79 4.7 4.4 5.0 4.6 4.6 SDSS-r 0.69 23:18 APOLLO 625( 1208) 277 57 4.4 3.5 4.1 3.6 3.6 553 1.20 00:24 ecamera 782( -541) 329 49 4.6 4.3 4.8 4.6 4.6 clear 0.64 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 42 19 3 238 (WSW) 605 clear none 17:00 39 13 2 205 (SSW) 42 clear none 18:00 41 12 6 203 (SSW) 26 clear none 19:00 40 11 6 222 (SW) 23 clear none 20:00 41 11 2 213 (SSW) 15 clear none 21:00 41 11 6 264 (W) 14 mstly clr none 22:00 38 11 10 239 (WSW) 10 ptly cldy none 23:00 39 11 7 260 (W) 13 mstly cldy none 00:00 41 11 9 248 (WSW) 16 mstly cldy none 01:00 41 9 8 262 (W) 24 mstly cldy none 02:00 40 10 10 256 (WSW) 18 mstly cldy none 03:00 40 10 11 271 (W) 16 ptly cldy none 04:00 40 10 12 274 (W) 16 clear none 05:00 39 9 11 273 (W) 25 clear none 06:00 39 10 10 275 (W) 47 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
