Threat of rain passed, we opened, but the clouds were too thick to collect data. Another blip on the radar appeared, and it was thought best to close at 18:37. Thick clouds and radar returns to the norht and south of us kept us closed through NM06's programs. At 01:56, clouds seemed to be breaking up and we opened. Almost immediately, humidity began to climb. UW13 was unable to guide due to clouds, and gave up at 02:45. We closed the dome shortly after. Rising humidity meant that we did not open again. Observer threw in the towel at 04:30. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:28 ecamera 776( -700) 81 32 -0.1 1.0 1.1 1.1 0.3 clear 1.44 03:02 ecamera 796( -808) 210 64 -1.9 -1.0 -0.6 -0.7 -0.7 ND2 1.32 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 33 20 5 255 (WSW) 1071 mstly cldy none 17:00 32 17 1 206 (SSW) 1021 mstly cldy none 18:00 32 17 3 129 (SE) 941 mstly cldy none 19:00 33 15 7 103 (ESE) 752 cloudy none 20:00 30 19 10 90 (E) 945 cloudy none 21:00 31 19 14 111 (ESE) 1033 cloudy none 22:00 31 19 14 176 (S) 1055 cloudy none 23:00 31 20 15 185 (S) 1131 cloudy none 00:00 32 20 12 238 (WSW) 1298 cloudy none 01:00 30 20 14 212 (SSW) 1201 cloudy none 02:00 29 23 11 216 (SW) 1732 mstly cldy none 03:00 28 24 14 205 (SSW) cloudy humid 04:00 27 25 13 210 (SSW) cloudy humid 05:00 27 27 11 201 (SSW) cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
