McMillan Night log composed by hand because of trouble with the machine that has the script on it. Closed all night for freezing fog, along with slushy snow on the telescope dome. I moved the telescope to different positions relative to the wind during the night, and took DIS images to check progression of contamination. We confirmed that ARCTIC image headers dealt with the leap second reasonably, although we weren't taking images at the time of the leap second so not sure how that would have turned out. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 31 31 17 255 (WSW) cloudy snow 17:00 31 31 20 268 (W) cloudy snow 18:00 30 30 18 273 (W) cloudy fog 19:00 30 30 22 253 (WSW) cloudy fog 20:00 30 30 16 235 (SW) cloudy fog 21:00 29 29 22 242 (WSW) cloudy fog 22:00 29 28 22 257 (WSW) cloudy fog 23:00 28 28 14 256 (WSW) cloudy fog 00:00 28 27 19 290 (WNW) cloudy fog 01:00 28 27 16 266 (W) cloudy fog 02:00 28 27 14 264 (W) cloudy fog 03:00 28 27 12 269 (W) cloudy fog 04:00 28 27 8 231 (SW) cloudy fog 05:00 28 27 16 264 (W) cloudy fog 06:00 29 28 13 235 (SW) cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
