By 21:20 it was again pretty cloudy. I could not see any stars visually and my observer also was having difficulties with his IR sources. I left the dome open until around 23:30, when we were pretty well socked in with clouds. We didn't get anything useful after 21:15, so that's when I maked the finish time. We had a thinning of clouds around 03:40 and I decided to re-open for the last program. Mike finished a little early (05:45) due to clouds and spent the remainder of the time doing dome cals. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:52 NICFPS 728( 1029) 3 65 4.0 5.9 6.3 5.8 5.1 Ks 0.85 17:54 NA2gdr 4910(47910) 2 65 4.0 5.8 6.2 5.7 5.1 clear 1.30 03:58 NICFPS 886( 1164) 104 68 6.1 5.5 5.7 5.7 5.9 Ks 0.78 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 43 -2 6 268 (W) 471 mstly cldy none 17:00 40 -1 7 16 (NNE) 479 ptly cldy none 18:00 40 0 14 13 (NNE) 651 ptly cldy none 19:00 43 -1 7 11 (N) 800 ptly cldy none 20:00 42 -3 18 23 (NNE) 555 ptly cldy none 21:00 42 -1 16 349 (N) 568 mstly cldy none 22:00 42 2 18 7 (N) 684 cloudy none 23:00 41 5 13 11 (N) 699 cloudy none 00:00 43 2 11 10 (N) 682 cloudy none 01:00 44 -2 17 25 (NNE) 738 cloudy none 02:00 45 -1 14 16 (NNE) 703 cloudy none 03:00 44 -1 5 186 (S) 697 cloudy none 04:00 43 -2 4 177 (S) 736 ptly cldy none 05:00 40 -6 6 90 (E) 728 mstly cldy none 06:00 37 -1 8 93 (E) 520 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
