The mirror covers and the enclosure motors needed restarting. The telescope was aimed due south, and the roof was checked for ice (none seen). Utility power came back on at 16:52. We were able to get on-sky at 17:28. It was clear and cold. Winds kicked up some dust, it was borderline, but did not force a close. UW01 gave their last hour to AD02, so AD02 started at 22:04. We staryed open through the dawn. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:37 dcamera 367( -279) -85 70 -4.9 -2.8 -0.8 -2.6 -1.9 - 3.51 19:07 dcamera 715( 4) 135 76 -5.3 -4.0 -2.8 -4.6 -0.1 - 1.85 20:13 dcamera 750( -55) 194 80 -6.6 -5.8 -4.9 -6.1 -0.1 - 1.72 23:10 arctic 792( 106) 318 53 -6.6 -6.7 -6.0 -6.5 -0.1 SDSS-r 0.88 02:14 ecamera 858( -923) 328 25 -4.7 -5.1 -4.6 -4.8 -0.1 ND1 1.56 05:03 ecamera 844( -955) -1 51 -3.2 -5.0 -4.4 -4.7 -0.1 clear 1.02 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 27 4 24 279 (W) 3144 clear none 17:00 24 8 27 281 (W) 1673 clear none 18:00 23 8 14 277 (W) 1905 clear none 19:00 20 10 17 289 (WNW) 3641 clear none 20:00 20 11 14 293 (WNW) 4242 clear none 21:00 20 11 9 18 (NNE) 2596 clear none 22:00 20 10 6 336 (NNW) 1836 clear none 23:00 20 9 12 15 (NNE) 1079 clear none 00:00 24 -7 14 6 (N) 843 clear none 01:00 24 -23 6 346 (NNW) 154 clear none 02:00 20 -22 3 17 (NNE) 167 clear none 03:00 24 -24 12 323 (NW) 140 clear none 04:00 26 -21 8 262 (W) 284 clear none 05:00 26 -21 12 219 (SW) 231 clear none 06:00 26 -21 10 256 (WSW) 288 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
