We saw the clouds of Venus in all their UV glory! We were clear all night with little wind and good seeing, though the humidity started creeping up on us in the last two hours. The laser went off with out a hitch, we tracked some NEO, and NM05 did something with binary stars in the IR. Tspec is still bad but UV04 will be looking into it tomorrow (yay!). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:35 ecamera 729( -527) -71 41 4.6 5.5 5.6 5.2 5.2 ND1 1.11 20:48 arctic 760( 610) -93 38 4.0 3.6 4.2 3.6 3.8 SDSS-r 1.02 23:18 APOLLO 650( 1221) -3 74 4.6 3.4 4.0 3.6 3.6 553 1.30 23:18 APOLLO 650( 1221) -3 74 4.6 3.4 4.0 3.6 3.6 553 1.30 00:36 NICFPS 724( 908) 170 75 4.3 3.7 4.2 3.8 3.8 MK-Ks 0.71 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 42 27 12 275 (W) 175 clear none 17:00 40 27 12 298 (WNW) 231 clear none 18:00 41 26 17 286 (WNW) 288 clear none 19:00 40 26 11 258 (WSW) 349 clear none 20:00 39 24 9 247 (WSW) 630 clear none 21:00 39 26 7 255 (WSW) 461 clear none 22:00 39 27 8 262 (W) 361 clear none 23:00 39 27 6 257 (WSW) 330 clear none 00:00 40 27 8 267 (W) 311 clear none 01:00 40 27 8 260 (W) 323 clear none 02:00 39 27 14 216 (SW) 281 clear none 03:00 38 27 13 238 (WSW) 330 clear none 04:00 38 27 19 245 (WSW) 238 clear none 05:00 39 27 16 265 (W) 183 clear none 06:00 38 26 18 263 (W) 160 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
