I pushed the telescope off and all seemed fine. Not sure how it got moved onto the switch. We had some clouds and possible precipitation to our west at the start of the night, which delayed us in opening. Winds picked up from the NE after midnight but we were pointing to the to the West so the mirror was stable and I pushed the closure limits. By 01:00 the wind gusts were now 40+ MPH so I opted to close the building until the winds died down below closure. We threw in the towel at 05:00 with high humidity and winds outside. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:32 dcamera 529( 383) -88 67 5.3 7.0 7.4 7.0 6.6 -- 2.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 48 31 1 248 (WSW) 427 ptly cldy none 17:00 45 31 1 188 (S) 324 mstly cldy none 18:00 43 32 14 79 (E) 509 mstly cldy none 19:00 42 32 18 76 (ENE) 542 mstly cldy none 20:00 42 29 19 79 (E) 592 mstly clr none 21:00 41 30 27 67 (ENE) 572 ptly cldy none 22:00 42 30 21 69 (ENE) 611 mstly cldy none 23:00 42 28 19 71 (ENE) 611 mstly cldy none 00:00 40 26 24 69 (ENE) 653 ptly cldy none 01:00 38 26 33 61 (ENE) 802 mstly clr none 02:00 36 29 28 75 (ENE) 1106 clear humid 03:00 34 31 32 72 (ENE) clear humid 04:00 33 31 28 74 (ENE) clear humid 05:00 34 32 32 68 (ENE) clear humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
