We made frantic observations of Venus during clear skies and moderate seeing. I had some difficult with DIS switch over due to binning confusion. Clouds rolled in during the night but nothing to stop us from observing. Tspec is continuing to take bad images. I power cycled it but saw no improvement. I powered it off at dawn and left it off. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:42 dcamera 744( 535) -130 42 5.8 5.5 6.0 5.6 5.8 -- 1.15 00:26 dcamera 709( 336) 167 69 2.8 2.5 3.2 2.6 1.3 -- 1.41 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 48 12 7 215 (SW) 267 clear none 17:00 44 -1 6 240 (WSW) 184 clear none 18:00 44 -1 6 243 (WSW) 220 clear none 19:00 42 -3 10 226 (SW) 295 clear none 20:00 42 -4 8 200 (SSW) 282 clear none 21:00 41 -3 11 226 (SW) 213 clear none 22:00 40 -1 4 191 (S) 280 mstly clr none 23:00 37 17 13 218 (SW) 511 ptly cldy none 00:00 37 18 7 217 (SW) 537 ptly cldy none 01:00 36 18 9 197 (SSW) 484 mstly clr none 02:00 37 16 9 222 (SW) 543 clear none 03:00 37 18 7 261 (W) 520 mstly clr none 04:00 37 18 6 261 (W) 574 ptly cldy none 05:00 36 18 14 324 (NW) 795 mstly clr none 06:00 36 18 15 308 (NW) 697 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
