The only thing that surprised me is that it didn't snow. The group on site pretty much gave up on the night. But wait, a ray of hope! The humidity started dropping after 1am but the clouds were too low and too thick to see through. Wait, what's this? Little patches started appearing near 3am! But my poor trainees didn't think there would be enough time. Alas, they had to leave site at 8am to catch their planes and they abandoned hope by 3:30. There were 12 of them onsite so I didn't not list all their names in the nightlog. I did not have a program that could fill the time (drat Venus for not being up) so I called it quits at 04:30am. I took darks with Tspec all night. All corrupted :( Other than that, no problems tonight aside from some very tired students (but they persevered and are now trained!). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 39 36 20 210 (SSW) ptly cldy humid 17:00 40 35 23 212 (SSW) mstly cldy humid 18:00 39 37 31 207 (SSW) cloudy none 19:00 41 37 37 236 (SW) cloudy rain 20:00 39 38 39 229 (SW) cloudy rain 21:00 39 36 26 240 (WSW) cloudy humid 22:00 37 34 23 271 (W) cloudy humid 23:00 35 33 33 270 (W) cloudy humid 00:00 34 31 20 267 (W) cloudy humid 01:00 33 27 28 267 (W) cloudy humid 02:00 32 22 25 276 (W) 649 mstly cldy none 03:00 33 25 20 286 (WNW) 692 ptly cldy none 04:00 31 24 19 257 (WSW) 662 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
