However, wind was an irritation and gave us poor seeing nearly the entire night. The DIS B400 grating was changed out for the B1000 for UW04 program. Tspec was corrupt (surprise, surprise) so I took darks all night. The instrument came back to a good state at least twice but not for very long. No other problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:11 dcamera 1012( 1070) 95 54 8.5 10.9 10.4 10.7 10.2 -- 1.77 18:39 dcamera 864( 880) 92 60 8.4 10.1 9.9 9.6 9.3 -- 1.41 19:26 dcamera 750( 705) 85 70 8.1 9.0 9.2 8.6 8.4 -- 1.22 19:49 dcamera 736( 673) 80 75 8.5 8.7 9.0 8.4 8.4 -- 1.47 22:54 dcamera 746( 636) 131 76 8.7 7.8 8.3 7.8 7.8 -- 1.65 00:23 dcamera 721( 619) 216 79 8.7 8.0 8.5 8.1 8.2 -- 0.99 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 53 22 16 282 (WNW) 875 clear none 17:00 54 21 16 264 (W) 1061 clear none 18:00 52 22 15 262 (W) 1142 clear none 19:00 48 23 18 254 (WSW) 1193 clear none 20:00 47 24 14 237 (WSW) 1076 clear none 21:00 47 24 17 263 (W) 796 clear none 22:00 47 24 17 271 (W) 882 clear none 23:00 48 24 14 276 (W) 875 clear none 00:00 48 25 14 261 (W) 950 clear none 01:00 48 26 19 265 (W) 880 clear none 02:00 47 26 16 291 (WNW) 895 clear none 03:00 46 25 9 283 (WNW) 1048 clear none 04:00 45 26 16 266 (W) 1088 clear none 05:00 46 25 21 282 (WNW) 1167 clear none 06:00 45 25 15 280 (W) 1207 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
