The wind died down but the seeing was an absolute train wreck and we never got below an arcsec. The Dataq windows machine was frozen and had to be restarted at the beginning of the night. Tspec was corrupt. I tried a long power cycle and was able to get some good images but it became corrupt again and I was never able to bring it back. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:35 arctic 755( 1034) -20 48 11.2 12.2 12.4 12.0 11.6 SDSS-r 1.68 19:30 arctic 745( 978) 34 43 10.9 11.2 11.8 11.1 11.1 SDSS-r 1.14 22:28 arctic 750( 892) -10 48 9.7 9.5 10.1 9.5 9.5 SDSS-r 1.26 00:19 arctic 675( 794) -73 37 8.9 8.8 9.4 8.9 9.0 SDSS-r 1.78 02:26 dcamera 690( 572) -3 56 7.4 7.4 8.1 7.5 7.5 -- 1.46 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 56 41 16 264 (W) 291 ptly cldy none 17:00 58 41 24 263 (W) 351 mstly clr none 18:00 56 41 32 272 (W) 364 mstly clr none 19:00 53 37 26 268 (W) 396 clear none 20:00 52 37 19 269 (W) 707 clear none 21:00 51 36 26 272 (W) 805 clear none 22:00 50 34 21 264 (W) 708 clear none 23:00 49 28 21 274 (W) 641 clear none 00:00 49 24 21 267 (W) 637 clear none 01:00 48 25 19 265 (W) 604 clear none 02:00 46 24 16 252 (WSW) 560 clear none 03:00 46 24 18 277 (W) 640 clear none 04:00 46 22 17 288 (WNW) 713 clear none 05:00 44 24 24 289 (WNW) 895 clear none 06:00 44 25 23 275 (W) 977 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
