There were thicker clouds coming to the west approaching and I was worried that they might condense when they hit the mountain ridge so I did not open. However, Russet convinced me at 18:52 and we were able to see stars. We remained open as long as we could hoping to catch holes but much of the time was lost in the clouds. We closed at 00:55 due to weather and rain on the radar. The rain never reached us but it stayed cloudy the rest of the night. Tspec was behaving badly. I ran a power cycle and left it inverted but there was no improvement. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:12 dcamera 677( 943) 84 71 12.1 15.1 15.0 15.1 14.4 -- 0.94 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 28 3 213 (SSW) 871 mstly cldy none 17:00 59 28 8 243 (WSW) 839 cloudy none 18:00 55 28 3 207 (SSW) 880 cloudy none 19:00 53 28 5 209 (SSW) 888 cloudy none 20:00 54 27 3 231 (SW) 854 cloudy none 21:00 53 30 12 153 (SSE) 1122 cloudy none 22:00 53 28 14 154 (SSE) 1066 cloudy none 23:00 52 29 13 152 (SSE) 1202 cloudy none 00:00 52 30 8 153 (SSE) 1145 cloudy none 01:00 53 29 12 184 (S) 1595 cloudy none 02:00 54 30 10 187 (S) 1254 cloudy none 03:00 53 30 11 192 (SSW) 981 cloudy none 04:00 52 30 14 189 (S) 951 cloudy none 05:00 52 30 12 192 (SSW) 934 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
