The agile rotator had multiple problems during checkout, so I power cycled it and it checked out successfully after that. Then during observations it failed tracking twice with a motion error, once at -72 deg and once at -90 (tracking negative). After the second failure I suggested a change of sky rotation. Each failure only took about a minute to recover, but re-establishing the field at a new rotation took longer. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW08 A T/H 00:38 00:46 Agile rotator tracking trouble ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:59 AGILE 585(-1288) 88 66 12.0 13.3 12.7 13.2 12.9 BG40 1.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 57 28 6 274 (W) 930 ptly cldy none 17:00 54 29 7 319 (NW) 885 ptly cldy none 18:00 51 30 1 191 (S) 926 ptly cldy none 19:00 54 11 8 2 (N) 350 ptly cldy none 20:00 53 6 5 350 (N) 270 ptly cldy none 21:00 51 14 6 359 (N) 566 mstly clr none 22:00 54 10 6 58 (ENE) 471 clear none 23:00 50 28 2 194 (SSW) 1189 clear none 00:00 49 32 4 195 (SSW) 1158 clear none 01:00 50 27 1 52 (NE) 1132 clear none 02:00 47 27 4 33 (NNE) 1099 clear none 03:00 46 30 8 10 (N) 1064 clear none 04:00 50 28 9 4 (N) 1102 clear none 05:00 51 27 10 8 (N) 1175 clear none 06:00 51 28 13 3 (N) 1237 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
