However, clouds started to roll in around 23:00. Rain was a few hours behind. GS01 was not able to see their galaxies and we closed at 03:19 when the rain became too close. It started raining at 03:32 and continued the rest of the night. ARCTIC took good biases at checkout but, after mounting the instrument, the exposures were bad (all pixels were the same value at 26194). An arctic init command did not work but restarting the Nubs did and there were no more problems for the rest of the night. Tspec was corrupt at checkout and I power cycled it, leaving it off for approximately 5 hours. Before powering it back on I rotated the instrument and filled the Aux tank. After turning it back on, the first four images were good but with hot spots. The next ~225 were perfect but then became corrupted again. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GS01 R I/S 01:14 01:20 readout problem, restart Nubs ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:56 dcamera 644( 797) 28 54 12.0 12.7 13.1 12.3 12.2 -- 1.35 00:34 arctic 605( 827) 36 58 11.8 11.2 11.6 11.3 11.3 JC-B 1.41 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 63 41 8 254 (WSW) 206 clear none 17:00 59 37 9 239 (WSW) 216 clear none 18:00 58 38 12 224 (SW) 124 clear none 19:00 52 37 9 234 (SW) 156 clear none 20:00 52 35 6 196 (SSW) 188 clear none 21:00 54 34 8 207 (SSW) 182 clear none 22:00 53 32 9 205 (SSW) 156 clear none 23:00 53 29 10 215 (SW) 173 mstly clr none 00:00 53 30 15 223 (SW) 194 ptly cldy none 01:00 53 28 13 197 (SSW) 204 mstly cldy none 02:00 53 33 14 200 (SSW) 425 cloudy none 03:00 52 35 13 199 (SSW) 447 cloudy lt rain 04:00 51 37 23 221 (SW) 294 cloudy rain 05:00 49 39 18 211 (SSW) 373 cloudy rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
