It was clear pretty much the entire night except when some small clouds quickly rolled through during B half. However, while it was clear, the atmosphere was turbulent so seeing was only good, not spectacular. The Echelle stayed moth free but Tspec was bad. I took images all night but there was no improvement. I rotated the instrument and removed the AUX cap at during dawn fills and I can see the temperature is coming down but the images continue to be corrupted. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:47 ecamera 658( -321) 236 64 11.3 11.2 11.4 10.8 10.7 -- 1.14 23:16 arctic 658( 804) 142 67 10.4 9.8 10.4 9.7 9.8 sdss-r 0.76 01:22 ecamera 720( -297) -51 52 11.5 10.3 10.7 10.3 10.8 -- 1.24 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 56 31 10 265 (W) 496 clear none 17:00 56 28 2 238 (WSW) 370 clear none 18:00 55 33 7 236 (SW) 637 clear none 19:00 51 35 3 189 (S) 679 clear none 20:00 53 25 1 232 (SW) 589 clear none 21:00 52 29 5 241 (WSW) 770 clear none 22:00 53 27 8 229 (SW) 951 clear none 23:00 52 31 5 197 (SSW) 922 clear none 00:00 51 31 2 206 (SSW) 1166 clear none 01:00 50 31 3 175 (S) 1268 mstly clr none 02:00 52 32 3 198 (SSW) 1453 mstly clr none 03:00 52 21 5 253 (WSW) 659 clear none 04:00 53 20 3 240 (WSW) 639 clear none 05:00 52 21 6 237 (WSW) 614 clear none 06:00 52 20 5 256 (WSW) 737 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
