The clouds formed over us for several hours before clearing. We had clear skies and good seeing for the rest of the night. No surprise, Tspec was bad. I powered it off during afternoon fills and left it off. I left the Tspec aux tank plug out as instructed and the temp of the AUX tank quickly decreased to 80.5K and stayed there the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:17 NICFPS 797( 1492) 64 27 11.2 13.1 12.5 13.1 12.6 MK-H 1.05 23:57 dcamera 719( 770) 18 56 10.9 10.8 11.3 10.9 10.8 -- 1.05 01:32 dcamera 701( 765) -40 30 10.7 10.6 11.2 10.8 10.7 -- 0.92 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 56 39 15 304 (NW) 460 mstly clr none 17:00 59 38 8 264 (W) 410 mstly clr none 18:00 53 40 3 233 (SW) 401 ptly cldy none 19:00 51 42 7 235 (SW) 485 mstly cldy none 20:00 53 42 10 228 (SW) 471 mstly cldy none 21:00 53 41 6 231 (SW) 529 clear none 22:00 53 41 12 214 (SW) 605 clear none 23:00 53 42 11 221 (SW) 668 clear none 00:00 52 42 7 200 (SSW) 804 clear none 01:00 52 42 10 212 (SSW) 1474 mstly clr none 02:00 52 43 8 226 (SW) 1937 clear none 03:00 51 43 11 217 (SW) 781 clear none 04:00 51 43 9 238 (WSW) 676 clear none 05:00 51 45 11 229 (SW) 708 clear none 06:00 50 45 9 228 (SW) 721 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
