Snow started falling around 19:00. We had about 4-5 inches accumulation by around 05:00 with snow still falling and more on the radar headed this way. At 04:00 I took some Arctic shutter tests (temp -5.4C). These were with the instrument unmounted but pointing at the truss lamps. 30 exposures, Ne lamp on, 1 second exposures. See artctic/shutter and arctic/bias files. biases were taken in a dark dome. The first biases with he incandescent lamps on had a gradient, probably the small light leak noted the other day. Dark blackout cloth was not on the instrument tonight. bias_light had the incandescent lamps on. Catwalk cleared of snow @04:30 but more was falling. Dome parked due south. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 28 24 21 218 (SW) 5056 cloudy humid 17:00 27 24 20 258 (WSW) 6889 cloudy humid 18:00 28 25 24 240 (WSW) 15236 cloudy humid 19:00 28 25 18 257 (WSW) 6449 cloudy snow 20:00 28 25 26 223 (SW) 1965 cloudy snow 21:00 28 25 31 213 (SSW) 1812 cloudy snow 22:00 26 24 21 225 (SW) 1096 cloudy snow 23:00 25 22 16 193 (SSW) 630 cloudy snow 00:00 24 21 12 246 (WSW) 559 cloudy snow 01:00 24 20 9 211 (SSW) 824 cloudy snow 02:00 24 20 17 211 (SSW) 264 cloudy snow 03:00 22 19 13 191 (S) 432 cloudy snow 04:00 22 19 12 218 (SW) 249 cloudy snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
