While the wind was still below the limit but starting to get close, it did push the telescope into the dome while we were stopped to get cals, and then the interlock needed to be cleared before the telescope could move again. But this only happened because a stop button was active; the wind wasn't strong enough at that point to overcome the motors. During checkout, three instruments needed interventions - ARCTIC needed an ICC restart, NICFPS needed an init, and Agile needed a heartbeat restart. None of these are severe or very unusual, but the clustering of unrelated events caused some delays. During second half while we were closed, the JHU observers helped me do some further analysis of ARCTIC readout modes, trying to determine whether single-readout or quad readout is more desirable. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NM05 D T/H 20:37 20:45 wind triggered collision interlock ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:17 dcamera 741( 491) 140 59 3.2 4.9 4.5 5.2 3.9 - 1.48 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 41 15 26 254 (WSW) clear none 17:00 41 12 23 262 (W) clear none 18:00 38 11 18 264 (W) clear none 19:00 38 14 29 244 (WSW) clear none 20:00 36 14 21 237 (WSW) clear none 21:00 35 15 20 241 (WSW) mstly clr none 22:00 34 16 24 233 (SW) mstly clr none 23:00 34 15 36 220 (SW) clear none 00:00 34 16 40 222 (SW) clear none 01:00 33 16 34 219 (SW) ptly cldy none 02:00 34 15 42 221 (SW) ptly cldy none 03:00 34 15 36 218 (SW) ptly cldy none 04:00 33 15 37 218 (SW) ptly cldy none 05:00 33 15 31 207 (SSW) cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
