During checkout I found a severe problem with the tertiary mirror; one axis was failing to move at all. Bill came in to help and after some searching found a loose connector. Once that was fixed and everything was buttoned up again, the telescope and instruments worked well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW10 E T/H 17:36 21:20 Tert C not moving ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:28 ecamera 607( -644) -64 60 4.3 5.8 6.5 5.4 5.0 ND1 0.99 23:16 arctic 572( 468) 162 64 4.8 4.4 5.0 4.4 4.3 r 0.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 47 -1 6 255 (WSW) 43 mstly clr none 17:00 44 -3 4 268 (W) 54 mstly clr none 18:00 42 -7 13 276 (W) 48 mstly clr none 19:00 43 -8 12 267 (W) 18 ptly cldy none 20:00 42 -8 17 265 (W) 33 ptly cldy none 21:00 42 -9 12 264 (W) 51 ptly cldy none 22:00 41 -6 17 266 (W) 30 ptly cldy none 23:00 41 -8 19 253 (WSW) 48 ptly cldy none 00:00 41 -5 20 255 (WSW) 155 ptly cldy none 01:00 39 -1 17 251 (WSW) 191 mstly clr none 02:00 40 -3 17 235 (SW) 210 clear none 03:00 40 0 20 247 (WSW) 299 clear none 04:00 37 2 14 231 (SW) 492 clear none 05:00 37 2 20 240 (WSW) 457 ptly cldy none 06:00 37 3 16 241 (WSW) 416 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
