The clouds were pretty challenging, though. Eventually I thought it was safe to open and we struggled through the murk for a while. The scheduled second half observer checked in and concluded the clouds were too thick for her science, so I let the first half observer continue for another hour and then I did pickup engineering until the clouds got too thick again during twilight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 70 45 9 311 (NW) 259 ptly cldy none 17:00 73 45 12 263 (W) 312 ptly cldy lt rain 18:00 68 42 7 270 (W) 325 mstly cldy none 19:00 62 49 3 99 (E) 575 mstly cldy none 20:00 60 49 7 91 (E) 559 mstly cldy none 21:00 62 46 2 115 (ESE) 472 mstly cldy none 22:00 62 45 6 132 (SE) 427 ptly cldy none 23:00 62 45 2 101 (E) 398 ptly cldy none 00:00 61 45 7 128 (SE) 470 ptly cldy none 01:00 60 48 16 129 (SE) 752 ptly cldy none 02:00 60 48 11 171 (S) 701 ptly cldy none 03:00 59 49 7 181 (S) 673 ptly cldy none 04:00 59 51 9 183 (S) 1165 ptly cldy none 05:00 58 50 8 185 (S) 1912 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
