Took tspec 12s dark test images (/tspec/test.xxxx). I did see some strange artifacts from the beginning that came and went. Random vertical and horizontal thin lines (nothing like the bad images we saw a month ago). This seemed to change between frames as well. When I went to change instruments (and slew the telescope around midnight I got a motion error on the Az drive). I halted the drives (axis stop and crash button) and tried smaller slews (2 deg instead of 60 degree) to see if the telescope would move better. It did the 2 deg move fine and then I was able to slew it longer with no problems. Since we were closed due to weather, I took DIS linearity data for Joe during the 2nd half. I left them running when I finished up for the night. We called it at 05:00 with clouds, humidity, and light rain falling. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 53 48 15 60 (ENE) 332 mstly cldy lt rain 17:00 53 48 13 72 (ENE) 313 mstly cldy none 18:00 52 47 15 83 (E) 203 mstly cldy none 19:00 50 48 22 70 (ENE) 196 mstly cldy humid 20:00 49 48 21 77 (ENE) 179 mstly cldy humid 21:00 48 46 30 73 (ENE) 116 mstly cldy humid 22:00 48 47 20 74 (ENE) 91 mstly cldy lt rain 23:00 48 46 19 76 (ENE) 50 mstly cldy humid 00:00 47 44 31 69 (ENE) 90 mstly cldy humid 01:00 47 45 13 76 (ENE) 159 mstly cldy lt rain 02:00 48 45 21 73 (ENE) 231 cloudy lt rain 03:00 47 46 24 74 (ENE) 142 cloudy lt rain 04:00 47 46 12 88 (E) 174 cloudy lt rain 05:00 47 46 8 82 (E) 163 cloudy lt rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
