Clouds became thinner and humidity improved. Second half of night, clouds improved and seeing was good. Echelle slit viewer computer was crashing making the echelle unusable. UW01 had backup instrument chosen, however it was impractical to change, thus, when weather improved, they lost some usable time. See nightlog for Sept 18 for list of UW students. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW01 E I/S 23:10 00:10 Slitty crashing ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:17 SPIcam 377( 721) 26 49 12.9 13.3 13.8 13.1 12.9 r 1.50 02:27 SPIcam 500( 807) 218 79 13.2 12.9 13.4 13.1 13.0 r 0.73 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 51 4 233 (SW) 364 cloudy humid 17:00 56 51 2 216 (SW) 307 cloudy humid 18:00 56 50 6 209 (SSW) 291 mstly cldy humid 19:00 54 51 3 201 (SSW) 291 mstly cldy humid 20:00 52 50 8 131 (SE) 304 mstly cldy humid 21:00 53 49 2 168 (SSE) 309 ptly cldy none 22:00 55 48 5 90 (E) 297 ptly cldy none 23:00 55 45 4 44 (NE) 251 ptly cldy none 00:00 56 45 13 78 (ENE) 263 ptly cldy none 01:00 56 40 5 105 (ESE) 168 ptly cldy none 02:00 56 36 7 107 (ESE) 135 mstly cldy none 03:00 56 33 8 111 (ESE) 107 mstly clr none 04:00 55 39 10 109 (ESE) 227 mstly clr none 05:00 55 36 8 109 (ESE) 393 clear none 06:00 56 31 6 130 (SE) 405 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
