In between, we were able to open for a short while to get some observing practice and a few photons from a bright star, but it was probably more useful for training than for science. NICFPS noise seemed higher than normal at the time of checkout, so I power cycled the Leach controller to bring the noise down for a while. There was also a problem with the weather status page starting around 2 am (also making me unable to do the weather section of this log), but the weather numbers were still reaching the TCC so I was able to keep an eye on the most important stats that way. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:26 ecamera 289( -543) 120 59 12.6 13.9 15.1 13.7 13.3 ND3 1.27 Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
