Seeing was bad, so they didn't lose much in choosing to fix it. Pointing jumped sometime in the last week, and we needed to fix it for Echelle. After using echtilt unsuccessfully 3 times, Russet adjusted the tertiary by hand. This time is counted as equipment. Seeing improved later in the night, and skies were mostly clear. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:11 APOLLO 300( 1638) -35 41 13.6 582.0 582.0 582.0 582.0 -- 3.00 20:21 ecamera 200( -409) -130 40 13.8 606.0 606.0 606.0 606.0 ND4 3.50 23:20 SPIcam 200( 774) -7 52 16.3 612.0 612.0 612.0 612.0 SDSS r 0.90 01:15 dcamera 205( 613) 146 72 15.0 611.0 611.0 611.0 611.0 -- 1.14 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 70 30 13 299 (WNW) 820 clear none 17:00 74 32 9 245 (WSW) 668 clear none 18:00 69 30 16 288 (WNW) 759 clear none 19:00 67 40 6 268 (W) 764 clear none 20:00 57 48 6 68 (ENE) 583 clear none 21:00 55 47 11 75 (ENE) 615 clear none 22:00 57 44 5 228 (SW) 739 clear none 23:00 62 43 13 205 (SSW) 1024 mstly clr none 00:00 61 45 18 183 (S) 1058 mstly clr none 01:00 61 44 12 188 (S) 1073 mstly clr none 02:00 59 45 8 183 (S) 1038 mstly clr none 03:00 57 47 11 175 (S) 1098 mstly clr none 04:00 58 48 8 184 (S) 1271 clear none 05:00 57 50 12 185 (S) 1338 clear humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
