Unfortunately the echelle ICC crashed just as we got on sky (perhaps triggered by a stuck motor, this will be investigated), so the first half observers weren't able to get even one spectrum. The second half observers had better conditions, with mostly clear skies and good seeing. Humidity started to rise after 3 am and by 04:30 was high enough to require closing. It dropped not too long after that but it was too late for the observers to get more targets, so we stayed closed. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:19 dcamera 279( 567) 165 78 14.7 15.5 15.7 15.5 14.9 - 1.05 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 64 47 6 186 (S) 1862 cloudy rain 17:00 63 47 17 139 (SE) 1890 cloudy lt rain 18:00 61 47 9 113 (ESE) 1186 cloudy none 19:00 60 50 11 115 (ESE) 1767 mstly cldy none 20:00 59 49 11 98 (E) 1771 mstly cldy none 21:00 60 45 13 121 (ESE) 1237 ptly cldy none 22:00 60 45 15 114 (ESE) 1664 ptly cldy none 23:00 60 44 15 111 (ESE) 2026 ptly cldy none 00:00 59 43 18 124 (SE) 2343 mstly clr none 01:00 59 43 15 123 (ESE) 2259 mstly clr none 02:00 57 46 17 123 (ESE) 1919 clear none 03:00 55 49 14 109 (ESE) 2132 clear none 04:00 55 49 14 114 (ESE) 2130 clear none 05:00 56 48 15 142 (SE) 1920 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
