After opening at 21:30, I monitored the pollen by checking my car's windshield, flashlight, and the dome rails. I did not see a lot of accumulation between 21:30 and midnight, but there was some, so the mirror might be inspected for cleaning. The press fans only were on during time of highest accumulation. Tspec unable to recover based on Matt's email suggestions. No technical problems with TUI. Dcam showed background pattern during twilight, but not during bright time observing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:48 SPIcam 362( 1161) 145 46 15.9 19.2 18.2 18.6 16.0 MSSSO-R 1.72 01:14 SPIcam 549( 1109) -92 30 14.3 13.9 14.6 13.9 13.9 SDSSr 1.54 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 73 27 18 225 (SW) 576 mstly clr none 17:00 71 27 12 209 (SSW) 632 ptly cldy none 18:00 70 29 7 199 (SSW) 587 ptly cldy none 19:00 64 27 11 254 (WSW) 679 mstly cldy none 20:00 61 27 6 235 (SW) 555 mstly cldy none 21:00 61 27 5 207 (SSW) 560 ptly cldy none 22:00 60 26 6 235 (SW) 567 ptly cldy none 23:00 57 37 28 136 (SE) 1065 mstly clr dust 00:00 57 39 25 131 (SE) 592 mstly clr none 01:00 57 37 24 126 (SE) 595 mstly clr none 02:00 58 37 21 131 (SE) 641 mstly cldy none 03:00 57 38 20 160 (SSE) 644 mstly clr none 04:00 58 37 19 160 (SSE) 630 ptly cldy none 05:00 56 39 20 172 (S) 646 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
