Since it was Jupiter observations, we were able to remain open and push through the clouds, but we closed at the end of the program, knowing that SPICAM could not cope as well. The clouds, dust, and humidity got worse over the rest of the night, and showed no signs of improvement at 05:00. Ran some in-dome tests of sec mirror errors. See separate email. No other problems. I did not remember to record seeing, but it was 1.13" with dcam at the beginning of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 55 16 27 243 (WSW) 3528 clear none 17:00 56 13 18 240 (WSW) 780 clear none 18:00 54 15 17 266 (W) 711 clear none 19:00 51 15 13 262 (W) 702 clear none 20:00 49 15 10 259 (W) 786 ptly cldy none 21:00 49 14 15 247 (WSW) 774 mstly cldy none 22:00 50 15 8 253 (WSW) 739 cloudy none 23:00 49 12 15 273 (W) 777 mstly cldy none 00:00 45 31 23 231 (SW) 2629 cloudy none 01:00 42 33 13 186 (S) 5778 cloudy none 02:00 42 33 10 190 (S) 2812 cloudy none 03:00 41 31 8 251 (WSW) 1301 cloudy none 04:00 41 31 10 195 (SSW) 1485 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
