When we were able to open- briefly at times - seeing was horrible. Although we were open and exposing during Adler second half, most of the images were not useable, so I logged this time to weather. We never had great skies, but managed to stay open the rest of the night. Trained new observers Merida Batiste and Caroline Roberts. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:14 dcamera 160( 401) -63 38 10.0 10.9 11.9 10.8 10.1 -- 2.08 01:11 SPIcam 275( 580) -9 60 9.9 9.8 10.8 9.8 9.7 SDSS-r 2.00 02:26 dcamera 265( 392) -70 71 9.6 9.4 10.0 9.4 9.3 -- 1.14 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 16 219 (SW) 2170 mstly cldy none 17:00 13 218 (SW) 2831 cloudy none 18:00 13 215 (SW) 1460 cloudy none 19:00 9 232 (SW) 2456 cloudy none 20:00 6 277 (W) 1635 cloudy none 21:00 12 207 (SSW) 1417 mstly cldy none 22:00 9 194 (SSW) 2439 mstly clr none 23:00 7 208 (SSW) 1510 mstly cldy none 00:00 10 184 (S) 1414 ptly cldy none 01:00 7 189 (S) 752 mstly cldy none 02:00 11 223 (SW) 730 mstly cldy none 03:00 9 192 (SSW) 623 mstly cldy none 04:00 6 211 (SSW) 644 mstly clr none 05:00 1 176 (S) 689 ptly cldy none 06:00 5 257 (WSW) 740 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
