At the beginning of the night we had snow and heavy clouds, but later in the evening the clouds thinned enough to shoot through. Seeing was poor at first but improved during second half. At UT 04:03 the azimuth had an oscillation and overcurrent at the beginning of a slew. I moved in the opposite direction and then back in the problem direction, and there was no recurrence. During second half the observer had a lot of drops in his internet connection. He was observing from Sweden, and a traceroute indicated a possible slowdown where the signal crossed the Atlantic. Some time was lost to this problem but it was hard for me to keep track of how much. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:15 dcamera 175( 35) -42 37 2.2 3.4 3.7 3.5 2.4 - 1.56 23:21 SPIcam 344( 272) 328 57 2.9 2.4 2.7 2.3 2.4 r 1.05 01:10 ecamera 376( -934) 38 71 2.2 1.8 2.1 1.7 1.7 ND2 0.98 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 7 -2 13 232 (SW) cloudy lt snow 17:00 3 -2 13 51 (NE) cloudy lt snow 18:00 1 -2 7 90 (E) cloudy none 19:00 3 -2 4 218 (SW) cloudy none 20:00 3 -3 6 238 (WSW) mstly cldy none 21:00 3 -5 4 185 (S) mstly cldy none 22:00 2 -5 3 138 (SE) ptly cldy none 23:00 2 -5 1 194 (SSW) ptly cldy none 00:00 2 -5 1 204 (SSW) ptly cldy none 01:00 2 -5 2 260 (W) ptly cldy none 02:00 2 -5 5 345 (NNW) ptly cldy none 03:00 2 -5 6 10 (N) ptly cldy none 04:00 2 -5 7 11 (N) mstly clr none 05:00 2 -5 10 20 (NNE) mstly clr none 06:00 2 -5 11 18 (NNE) mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
