We had two failures of ecam while guiding - one silent failure during the "exposing" part of the guide loop at UT 04:00, and one noisier failure which required rebooting the slitviewer computer, at UT 12:20. Exposures continued throughout and only a few photons were lost. APOLLO ran successfully with no repeat of the laser dropouts from Saturday night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:00 ecamera 423( -408) 2 56 10.0 10.9 10.4 10.3 8.6 ND3 0.77 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 11 -5 10 267 (W) 139 clear none 17:00 10 -5 7 231 (SW) 138 clear none 18:00 8 -6 5 259 (W) 153 clear none 19:00 7 -6 7 262 (W) 177 clear none 20:00 7 -6 7 253 (WSW) 289 clear none 21:00 7 -6 10 234 (SW) 322 clear none 22:00 6 -6 7 227 (SW) 364 clear none 23:00 7 -6 10 224 (SW) 426 clear none 00:00 7 -6 7 197 (SSW) 333 clear none 01:00 7 -7 7 260 (W) 173 clear none 02:00 7 -7 6 262 (W) 173 clear none 03:00 6 -9 4 266 (W) 129 clear none 04:00 7 -7 10 311 (NW) 120 clear none 05:00 6 -6 9 333 (NNW) 134 clear none 06:00 5 -6 10 324 (NW) 133 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
