We were able to observe with the spectrograph and optical instruments but the clouds interfered with the IR instruments. THe clouds started to clear out around 02:40 and we were finally able to start to collect IR data. We stayed open all night but lost about 2.5 hrs due to clouds with NICFIPS. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:32 dcamera 612( 429) 283 77 5.6 6.3 6.6 6.5 5.9 -- 1.25 22:15 arctic 542( 445) 325 56 5.8 5.0 5.3 5.1 5.4 sdss r 1.20 00:40 NICFPS 491( 713) 148 70 4.7 4.5 4.9 4.5 4.4 Ks 1.20 05:36 NICFPS 554( 650) 77 42 1.4 1.6 2.2 1.7 1.4 Ks 1.30 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 43 22 19 238 (WSW) 1155 cloudy none 17:00 42 22 23 209 (SSW) 1759 mstly cldy none 18:00 42 22 24 206 (SSW) 2826 mstly cldy none 19:00 42 21 20 207 (SSW) 1545 mstly cldy none 20:00 42 19 17 207 (SSW) 2469 mstly cldy none 21:00 41 20 9 190 (S) 1445 ptly cldy none 22:00 42 19 21 195 (SSW) 667 ptly cldy none 23:00 42 16 17 203 (SSW) 370 mstly cldy none 00:00 41 16 20 214 (SW) 266 mstly cldy none 01:00 39 19 23 233 (SW) 268 cloudy none 02:00 39 23 18 219 (SW) 349 mstly cldy none 03:00 36 24 12 190 (S) 430 ptly cldy none 04:00 36 25 17 194 (SSW) 525 clear none 05:00 35 24 19 194 (SSW) 502 mstly clr none 06:00 34 24 19 189 (S) 566 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
