I took 1500 darks. The night started clear and breezy and seeing was variable. Oscillations in the az drive current were observed and became severe. I stopped the telescope to clean the az drive during UW08 from 18:29-18:37. This seemed to improve the current oscillations. The internet went down around 00:47 - 01:01 during AD02. This was fixed by re-adjusting the input to the APO router in the computer room. UW10 had untrained observer Bob Abel ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW08 E T/H 18:29 18:37 Oscillations in the Az current AD02 R T/S 00:47 01:01 Internet went down, lost observers ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:18 ecamera 592( -948) 226 57 -1.3 0.1 0.5 0.2 -0.8 ND3 1.00 19:06 dcamera 498( -60) 298 52 -1.0 -1.2 -0.6 -1.2 -1.4 -- 1.40 23:33 arctic 573( 128) -94 50 -1.7 -2.0 -1.5 -1.9 -1.9 sdss-r 0.90 01:34 dcamera 551( -24) -121 59 -0.7 -1.5 -1.2 -1.5 -1.2 -- 1.70 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 31 -2 3 262 (W) 107 clear none 17:00 30 -5 13 359 (N) 134 clear none 18:00 31 -12 5 4 (N) 195 clear none 19:00 30 -12 15 23 (NNE) 173 clear none 20:00 30 -11 20 6 (N) 199 clear none 21:00 31 -11 16 53 (NE) 197 clear none 22:00 30 -9 18 21 (NNE) 168 clear none 23:00 29 -7 21 26 (NNE) 195 clear none 00:00 29 -6 23 41 (NE) 238 clear none 01:00 30 -14 15 33 (NNE) 189 clear none 02:00 30 -14 9 8 (N) 178 clear none 03:00 29 -16 11 6 (N) 187 clear none 04:00 26 -13 23 25 (NNE) 180 clear none 05:00 28 -13 14 35 (NE) 162 clear none 06:00 29 -9 8 29 (NNE) 153 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
