At 18:20 - 18:40 and 18:46-18:49 the ecam stopped responding during an exposure. The echelle was continuing to respond normally during this time. I tried restarting the hub startNubs ecam and hub startNubs ecamera but it did not work. I then tried to logout, shut down, and restart TUI. That did not work. I called Fritz and he informed me to log into arc@obs1 and execute ecamera off then ecamera on and restart the ecamear nub. Restarting the ecamera nub did not work, I had to restart the ecam nub. Perhaps they need to be done is succession? Because of the ecam failure, UW08 asked for 10 min from UW04, which was granted, but UW04 will be requesting those 10min back tomorrow night from UW08. There was some slipping of the motors but it was minor. There was only a small amount of moth bits in the motor. GIFS is hooked up to dewar 4 and, though it reads 20psi, I think it's higher. I turned the valve the smallest amount I possible could, to the order of 1/40 rotation, in order to fill. Anything more and the pressure was too high. It took about 20min to fill. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW08 E I/S 18:20 18:40 ecam became nonresponsive UW08 E I/S 18:46 18:49 ecam became nonresponsive ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:36 ecamera 525( -319) 85 70 3.4 13.9 13.7 13.5 13.8 ND2 0.90 19:33 dcamera 337( 411) 234 56 3.4 11.2 11.6 10.6 10.4 - 1.10 23:47 ecamera 475( -621) 138 55 3.4 8.8 9.4 8.8 8.8 clear 0.96 05:21 APOLLO 325( 1091) 60 55 3.4 7.1 7.7 7.2 7.2 530 1.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 8 201 (SSW) 237 clear none 17:00 6 206 (SSW) 175 clear none 18:00 8 199 (SSW) 61 clear none 19:00 7 199 (SSW) 53 clear none 20:00 8 187 (S) 70 clear none 21:00 11 184 (S) 61 clear none 22:00 7 177 (S) 57 clear none 23:00 11 219 (SW) 68 clear none 00:00 10 222 (SW) 62 clear none 01:00 12 209 (SSW) 131 clear none 02:00 11 200 (SSW) 122 clear none 03:00 13 200 (SSW) 102 clear none 04:00 12 201 (SSW) 149 clear none 05:00 13 213 (SSW) 119 clear none 06:00 13 233 (SW) 73 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
