The clouds cleared around 04:00 but the high humidity continued until 5:30. I opened at 5:45am. Tspec was working and I ran 1000 darks. I tried to fill GIFS as slowly as possible (valve was opened ~1/6 rotation) at the beginning of the night and it filled in under 15min, which seems too fast. At the end of the night it filled in about 10min. I cleaned the motor track for alt and az and did not find any moth bits, but the telescope did slip a few times in alt. I had to restart ARCTIC from the ICC as listed in the daylog. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 05:06 ecamera 388(-1080) 251 41 3.4 1.3 3.2 1.4 1.6 ND1 1.60 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 8 264 (W) 103006 cloudy fog 17:00 1 319 (NW) 298 cloudy fog 18:00 1 267 (W) 45893 cloudy fog 19:00 12 327 (NNW) 382 cloudy fog 20:00 3 332 (NNW) 613 cloudy fog 21:00 4 347 (NNW) 390 cloudy fog 22:00 9 2 (N) 604 ptly cldy fog 23:00 9 15 (NNE) 502 cloudy fog 00:00 15 3 (N) 7921 cloudy fog 01:00 19 23 (NNE) 341 cloudy fog 02:00 13 2 (N) 271 mstly clr humid 03:00 17 10 (N) 66 clear humid 04:00 12 358 (N) 55 clear humid 05:00 15 20 (NNE) 73 clear none 06:00 20 48 (NE) 45 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
