DIS focus turned out to be fine, and needed no adjustment. Triplespec behaved much the same as last night--started out good, but was bad by the end of the night. ARCTIC was very productive. We took a series of images on standards to map S/N, along with some pretty pictures. We did all of this in the narrow band filters. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:13 dcamera 327( 702) 91 61 14.2 17.0 16.9 17.1 15.9 -- 1.14 18:32 dcamera 333( 672) 89 65 14.9 16.4 16.3 16.2 15.1 -- 1.01 00:23 arctic 183( 718) -57 49 12.4 13.1 13.7 12.8 12.6 Clear 1.14 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 31 8 307 (NW) 990 clear none 17:00 60 32 8 355 (N) 750 clear none 18:00 59 31 1 258 (WSW) 612 clear none 19:00 57 32 6 8 (N) 832 clear none 20:00 59 20 4 360 (N) 445 clear none 21:00 59 16 10 345 (NNW) 278 clear none 22:00 58 14 9 350 (N) 219 clear none 23:00 58 17 7 4 (N) 332 clear none 00:00 57 17 7 343 (NNW) 354 clear none 01:00 57 24 9 348 (NNW) 425 clear none 02:00 55 31 7 346 (NNW) 854 clear none 03:00 52 30 5 335 (NNW) 847 clear none 04:00 54 29 4 332 (NNW) 547 clear none 05:00 52 27 4 350 (N) 499 clear none 06:00 52 32 9 12 (NNE) 546 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
