We stayed open and tried to push through, but it didn't always work. Second half was clear and beautiful, with great seeing. Besides clouds, DIS performed well. Focus needs some adjusting. Took some initial DIS slitviewer vs spectrograph data. Took Triplespec darks all night. Started the night in a good state, started seeing some corrupted images at 599. After 620 they're pretty much all corrupted. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:11 dcamera 424( 720) 55 35 13.1 14.8 14.6 14.3 13.8 -- 4.00 22:47 ecamera 456( -446) -18 79 12.9 12.8 13.2 12.8 12.7 Clear 0.80 00:27 SPIcam 468( 738) -122 79 12.4 12.2 12.7 12.2 12.3 SDSS r 0.62 02:15 ecamera 447( -520) -17 75 11.9 11.5 12.0 11.3 11.3 ND2 0.75 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 38 1 243 (WSW) 388 clear none 17:00 59 36 2 38 (NE) 766 clear none 18:00 54 36 10 72 (ENE) 1449 clear none 19:00 53 35 7 76 (ENE) 1429 clear none 20:00 53 34 6 282 (WNW) 957 mstly cldy none 21:00 55 35 5 262 (W) 771 mstly cldy none 22:00 55 34 4 234 (SW) 886 mstly cldy none 23:00 56 34 5 261 (W) 872 mstly cldy none 00:00 55 34 6 251 (WSW) 815 ptly cldy none 01:00 54 33 6 257 (WSW) 1034 clear none 02:00 54 34 7 311 (NW) 1013 clear none 03:00 54 35 7 322 (NW) 537 clear none 04:00 52 35 8 341 (NNW) 768 clear none 05:00 52 35 7 345 (NNW) 673 clear none 06:00 50 35 6 352 (N) 720 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
