Seeing started out decent, but got bad before too long. We zeroed the rotator, reset the controllers, implemented a small pointing model, did high altitude tracking tests, TrackAdvTime tests, and kept an eye out for TSPEC problems. Details in the engineering email. We closed just before midnight, and were unable to open for the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:52 guider 523( 450) 86 38 1.3 1.8 2.0 1.4 1.4 Red ND2 1.90 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 33 26 12 7 (N) 544 clear none 17:00 34 26 4 112 (ESE) 400 mstly clr humid 18:00 34 25 4 111 (ESE) 238 ptly cldy humid 19:00 35 25 7 146 (SE) 190 ptly cldy none 20:00 37 20 5 174 (S) 65 ptly cldy none 21:00 37 20 2 194 (SSW) 64 mstly clr none 22:00 36 20 2 197 (SSW) 79 ptly cldy none 23:00 35 22 9 184 (S) 103 cloudy none 00:00 34 22 8 183 (S) 133 cloudy none 01:00 33 22 8 200 (SSW) 289 cloudy humid 02:00 32 24 9 219 (SW) 559 cloudy humid 03:00 31 26 7 191 (S) 602 cloudy humid 04:00 33 28 7 232 (SW) 556 cloudy humid 05:00 34 30 10 241 (WSW) 554 cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
