No new precipitation, but the dome was caked with various forms of solid and semi-solid water. Fortunately the failed UPS has been replaed with another, so it was possible to move the dome tonight. Motors and instruments checked out except for Tspec, which will receive attention tomorrow. Roof heaters remained on all night since temperatures were only a little below freezing. It shouldn't take much sunlight to clear the ice from the dome. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp C Dewp C MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 -1 -1 11 264 (W) 1426 cloudy fog 17:00 -1 -1 16 267 (W) 286 cloudy fog 18:00 -1 -1 14 291 (WNW) 268 cloudy fog 19:00 -1 -1 10 280 (W) 630 cloudy fog 20:00 -1 -1 13 300 (WNW) 476 cloudy fog 21:00 -1 -1 13 268 (W) 323 cloudy fog 22:00 -1 -1 12 293 (WNW) 338 cloudy fog 23:00 -1 -1 12 317 (NW) 1417 cloudy fog 00:00 -1 -1 11 282 (WNW) 239 cloudy fog 01:00 -1 -1 7 265 (W) 1451 cloudy fog 02:00 -1 -1 13 307 (NW) 807 cloudy fog 03:00 -1 -1 10 282 (WNW) 1113 cloudy fog 04:00 -1 -1 11 332 (NNW) 1150 cloudy fog Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
