Telescope was just happily guiding (I did see a jump in slit images 84-87). I didn't hear anything strange on the intercom. It seemed to fixed itself. 04:30:39 Az current and error oscillating. -1A to +6A. I could hear the buzzing on the intercom. Az:144.3 Alt:43 Oscillation was also inducing a vibration on the C and T load cells (probably not surprising), minor on the B and A cells. Frequency increased as time went on. 04:37:50ish slewed short distance away (140,40), that stopped the oscillations We reslewed back to the target, I heard one oscillation on the intercom just before the telescope stopped and started to track, then it tracked fine (no oscillations). No problems with the drives for the 2nd or 3rd program. DIS left mounted for morning cals. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:03 dcamera 565( 215) 136 53 4.1 -0.3 -0.9 -0.4 -0.7 -- 1.50 19:02 dcamera 315( -42) 170 43 4.1 -0.6 -0.5 -0.5 -0.5 -- 1.60 23:34 SPIcam 339( 71) 120 54 4.1 -1.5 -1.1 -1.5 -1.7 sdss r 1.76 01:24 dcamera 340( -122) 133 73 4.1 -2.1 -1.7 -2.1 -2.2 -- 1.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 11 69 (ENE) 37 clear none 17:00 9 53 (NE) 42 clear none 18:00 12 31 (NNE) 52 clear none 19:00 13 43 (NE) 66 clear none 20:00 0 324 (NW) 69 clear none 21:00 7 51 (NE) 109 clear none 22:00 19 68 (ENE) 72 clear none 23:00 15 65 (ENE) 43 clear none 00:00 17 75 (ENE) 50 clear none 01:00 17 78 (ENE) 28 mstly clr none 02:00 12 54 (NE) 55 mstly clr none 03:00 11 86 (E) 29 clear none 04:00 1 175 (S) 18 clear none 05:00 0 203 (SSW) 17 mstly clr none 06:00 2 348 (NNW) 42 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
