We did manage to open for two useful periods, closing in between becane I couldn't understand how the clouds were behaving. Second half had thick orographic clouds that made observing hopeless; we were barely able to focus on a bright star before it was time to close. By request of the GIFS team, I did not do an instrument fill in the morning. They will be monitoring the instrument's hold time. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:43 ecamera 224( -516) -114 70 11.8 12.9 13.6 12.9 85.0 ND3 0.75 00:40 GIFS 275( 667) -97 50 10.8 11.3 11.8 11.4 85.0 red_ifs 0.85 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 49 20 235 (SW) 275 ptly cldy none 17:00 60 48 23 212 (SSW) 324 ptly cldy none 18:00 56 47 20 227 (SW) 413 mstly cldy none 19:00 56 48 20 209 (SSW) 640 mstly cldy none 20:00 55 47 18 244 (WSW) 462 mstly cldy none 21:00 55 46 19 238 (WSW) 245 mstly cldy rain 22:00 54 47 13 255 (WSW) 263 ptly cldy none 23:00 54 47 13 267 (W) 279 mstly clr none 00:00 53 47 11 270 (W) 307 ptly cldy none 01:00 52 47 12 265 (W) 302 mstly cldy none 02:00 51 48 12 253 (WSW) 394 mstly cldy humid 03:00 51 46 15 267 (W) 422 mstly cldy none 04:00 50 44 15 284 (WNW) 356 mstly cldy none 05:00 50 44 14 282 (WNW) 376 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
