Clouds hampered observations unobservable around 23:10 so Bryan used the next 30 mins for cals then gave the remainder of the time to us for engineering, since it was still too cloudy to observe for him. We switched to APOLLO to use its camera for real time imaging of stars. Zero'ed rotator 100 point pointing model Shack-Hartmann collimation check Implemented pointing model and did spot checks at NA2 & NA1 (corrected pointing). Also tested guiding with Echelle. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:32 tcamera 513 6 57 Ks 1.25 01:10 gcamera 231 -51 45 R+ND2 1.4 04:53 Shack 406 81 48 -- 1.0 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 57 48 6 81 (E) 589 cloudy rain 17:00 61 48 13 111 (ESE) 560 ptly cldy none 18:00 63 45 12 72 (ENE) 321 ptly cldy none 19:00 60 46 16 79 (E) 327 mstly cldy none 20:00 58 46 19 79 (E) 383 ptly cldy none 21:00 58 45 18 85 (E) 335 mstly clr none 22:00 56 47 18 92 (E) 433 mstly clr none 23:00 57 48 17 77 (ENE) 468 ptly cldy none 00:00 56 48 15 84 (E) 482 ptly cldy none 01:00 57 45 11 89 (E) 418 mstly clr none 02:00 57 44 8 96 (E) 477 mstly clr none 03:00 57 44 8 95 (E) 454 ptly cldy none 04:00 57 43 6 91 (E) 451 ptly cldy none 05:00 57 44 4 97 (E) 532 mstly clr none 06:00 57 43 2 117 (ESE) 560 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
