Echelle blue filter did not move into place when commanded. I found the filter wheel mechanism working correctly, just in the wrong filter positions. I moved the wheel to the correct position. PR submitted for correct wheel alignment. About 12 mins loss to fix this problem. I somehow didn't manage to record focus for either instrument tonight. Seeing was 0.8 arc sec with tspec and about 1.0 arc sec with the echelle tonight. NICFPS was still cooling down at the end of the night so no darks were taken. The mirror cover in the 4-5 o'clock position did not close (fully open) when I closed at the end of the night. A cycle of the covers closed it the second try. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NM07 E I/H 01:08 01:20 Cal filters not in correct position. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 73 46 ?? 755 ptly cldy none 17:00 71 44 ?? 755 ptly cldy none 18:00 74 45 ?? 755 ptly cldy none 19:00 70 43 ?? 755 ptly cldy none 20:00 68 43 ?? 755 mstly clr none 21:00 66 42 ?? 755 mstly clr none 22:00 65 42 ?? 755 mstly clr none 23:00 65 41 ?? 755 clear none 00:00 63 38 ?? 755 clear none 01:00 62 35 ?? 755 clear none 02:00 61 36 ?? 755 clear none 03:00 61 39 ?? 755 clear none 04:00 63 38 ?? 755 ptly cldy none 05:00 63 37 ?? 755 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
