Observing Specialist: A.Shugart
High humidity closed us at 2:20.
Opened again at 04:10. After opening again, I initialized the axis motors,
and allowed Zhao to slew. In azimuth, I received a "motion error too
large" message, and the telescope would not slew. There was no evidence of
overcurrent. I stopped the motors, put on the brake, but this did not
clear the error. I attempted one small slew and received the same message.
I stopped the motors again and went upstairs to see if there was any
debris on the az drive surfaces. Finding no impairments, I went back
downstairs and tried once for. Inexplicably, it worked. We got back on sky
for the remainder of the night.
