I began seeing temperature alarms at 22:00, and re-fed at 22:30. GIFS continued to warm, even after these two low pressure fills. Temperature alarms were raised again at ~22:30, and I topped it off at 00:30. During this fill, I inspected the instrument for leaks or condensation but saw no evidence of trouble. I monitored the temperature closely after that, until it cooled to normal range by ~ 02:05. No problems with temperature control the rest of the night. Weather was clear and calm, producing decent seeing all night. No problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:48 dcamera 578( 782) 196 79 9.9 10.9 10.9 10.4 9.9 -- 1.25 01:21 ecamera 734( -209) 317 70 9.3 9.0 9.4 8.9 9.1 ND1 0.81 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 11 22 280 (W) 2468 clear none 17:00 55 13 22 266 (W) 2405 clear none 18:00 56 12 20 268 (W) 2826 clear none 19:00 53 10 17 253 (WSW) 2631 clear none 20:00 51 9 12 256 (WSW) 2492 clear none 21:00 50 10 24 265 (W) 2789 clear none 22:00 49 10 16 249 (WSW) 3147 clear none 23:00 49 10 19 267 (W) 3104 clear none 00:00 49 10 18 266 (W) 3068 clear none 01:00 49 11 16 272 (W) 2928 clear none 02:00 48 10 20 296 (WNW) 3159 clear none 03:00 47 11 17 272 (W) 3031 clear none 04:00 48 12 13 265 (W) 2976 clear none 05:00 47 12 10 264 (W) 3104 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
