We were eventually able to open, and seeing was decent-mediocre. When going to the first star, we had some trouble with pointing on echelle. The intended star made determining the pointing issue a bit difficult, because it looked very similar to the previous pointing troubles. We ended up using a workaround for this. Russet made an adjustment later in the night. Aside from all of this, the night was productive with no other problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:47 ecamera 510( -565) 281 43 4.2 5.7 6.8 5.6 4.3 ND2 1.40 00:29 NICFPS 647( 992) 339 57 3.7 3.7 4.2 3.7 3.7 Clear 2.11 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 52 18 35 261 (W) 42290 cloudy dust 17:00 52 8 41 256 (WSW) 27453 cloudy dust 18:00 51 13 36 271 (W) 15548 ptly cldy dust 19:00 48 4 26 264 (W) 15008 mstly clr dust 20:00 44 4 28 290 (WNW) 6643 mstly clr dust 21:00 42 6 19 271 (W) 6958 mstly clr dust 22:00 41 11 15 300 (WNW) 5942 clear dust 23:00 40 11 9 281 (W) 3695 clear none 00:00 39 11 17 312 (NW) 2527 clear none 01:00 39 12 16 294 (WNW) 2731 clear none 02:00 38 12 17 291 (WNW) 2439 clear none 03:00 37 12 14 267 (W) 2718 clear none 04:00 36 13 18 265 (W) 2811 clear none 05:00 36 13 20 263 (W) 2793 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
