At higher altitudes, the transverse axis of the primary was exhibiting higher load cell voltage than usual, by about a few hundredths of a volt, but this cleared once we slewed to lower altitude, and stayed clear. I did not need to relax the primary. During UW07, the DIS slitviewer froze up. Getting it back online took about 10 minutes, but the covers were closed, and Ben used this for cals, so I did not log this down as sky time lost. Other than that, there were no problems tonight. Darks ran all night for SPICAM. Telescope parked at high altitude as per the "site power" email instructions. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:31 dcamera 672( 1170) 48 79 14.0 16.7 16.8 15.9 14.3 -- 1.49 21:54 dcamera 625( 1017) -108 76 13.4 14.6 14.8 13.9 13.2 -- 1.90 01:41 AGILE 510(-1209) 33 64 13.2 13.3 13.8 13.2 13.2 SDSSg 1.70 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 69 37 21 265 (W) 1079 mstly cldy none 17:00 70 37 14 265 (W) 1075 ptly cldy none 18:00 68 36 13 217 (SW) 1118 ptly cldy none 19:00 66 38 12 206 (SSW) 967 mstly clr none 20:00 58 40 10 168 (SSE) 1131 mstly clr none 21:00 57 41 13 135 (SE) 945 clear none 22:00 56 40 14 142 (SE) 925 clear none 23:00 60 36 8 183 (S) 1040 mstly clr none 00:00 60 36 3 197 (SSW) 1042 clear none 01:00 56 38 14 137 (SE) 951 clear none 02:00 57 38 11 166 (SSE) 876 clear none 03:00 57 38 7 177 (S) 962 clear none 04:00 57 38 8 181 (S) 916 clear none 05:00 56 38 8 175 (S) 913 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
