Bay 2 gratings were off ~30 steps. The Bay 2 gratings were still On Generator power all night. Generator turned off around 22:10, we manually restarted it. No time loss as it was raining and lightning outside. Site air pressure dropped due to power problems. Telescope was moved to alt 85 before the pressure dropped. A very eventful 1st half night at APO, I submitted a PR with the details. We also had a tornado warning near Timberon during the midst of all the problems! 2nd half was mostly clouds and fog and humidity. My observer called it a night at 03:41, since his exposures are 2hrs long and we are currently fogged in. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 53 43 19 141 (SE) 2161 mstly cldy none 17:00 60 40 13 191 (S) 1442 mstly cldy none 18:00 58 38 11 187 (S) 1571 ptly cldy none 19:00 55 37 11 129 (SE) 1469 ptly cldy none 20:00 51 39 18 113 (ESE) 1508 ptly cldy none 21:00 50 38 15 107 (ESE) 1440 cloudy lt rain 22:00 49 43 11 34 (NE) 1718 cloudy rain 23:00 45 41 6 182 (S) 1456 cloudy rain 00:00 47 42 2 186 (S) 1122 cloudy rain 01:00 47 45 19 197 (SSW) 1792 cloudy humid 02:00 47 47 15 202 (SSW) 1519 cloudy fog 03:00 46 46 11 218 (SW) 5857 cloudy fog 04:00 46 46 8 222 (SW) 27458 cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
