Alt error started climbing (>100 arc sec before I stopped the drives). I re-started drives and had observer reslew to their comet. The Alt drive current was then hovering around +9.8A. I slewed the telescope in alt (>30 deg) and that seemed to help. Object was also near transit at the time of the problem. gcam quit a couple times again tonight, it just stopped working (it may have been taking images but it wouldn't display then and gave an error). I saw this error the other night as well. Here was one instance: 3:33:06 JH08.halweaver.gcam 6328 gcamera f text="local variable 'd' referenced before assignment" I tried restarting the gcam and gcamera which worked the first time (after a couple of attempts). The second time I needed to power cycle the camera to get it back. ecam also just stopped working around 09:58:47 09:58:47 CmdStarted: NM08.Karen 43 ecam findstars exptime=5.0 bin=1 window=0,0,511,511 radMult=1.0 thresh=2.5 09:58:47 NM08.Karen 43 ecam f text="exposure in progress" 09:58:47 CmdDone: NM08.Karen 43 ecam findstars exptime=5.0 bin=1 window=0,0,511,511 radMult=1.0 thresh=2.5 I restarted ecamera and ecam which fixed the problem. 11:13 ecam failed again, same fix as above ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:18 SPIcam 612( 855) 44 69 7.7 8.7 8.8 8.4 7.9 MSSSO R 0.64 01:28 dcamera 512( 519) -5 82 6.9 7.0 7.6 7.0 7.0 -- 0.86 02:54 ecamera 722( -310) -92 48 7.4 6.8 7.3 6.8 7.0 ND2 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 50 29 9 316 (NW) 562 clear none 17:00 53 29 17 250 (WSW) 604 clear none 18:00 51 28 13 269 (W) 513 mstly clr none 19:00 49 29 10 269 (W) 475 mstly clr none 20:00 46 29 10 270 (W) 546 mstly clr none 21:00 46 28 9 258 (WSW) 513 mstly clr none 22:00 47 27 8 264 (W) 481 clear none 23:00 46 28 8 285 (WNW) 488 clear none 00:00 46 29 10 312 (NW) 541 clear none 01:00 46 29 10 325 (NW) 500 clear none 02:00 43 29 10 331 (NNW) 503 clear none 03:00 46 28 9 357 (N) 578 clear none 04:00 47 26 7 6 (N) 616 clear none 05:00 47 25 9 333 (NNW) 655 clear none 06:00 47 25 8 349 (N) 682 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
