Unfortunately, we ran into some problems (see email for details) and the telescope is unusable until the engineering staff comes in. I parked the telescope where it was, and closed up at 01:15. I did fills at 05:40. Weather wise, the night started out clear, but after a few hours became very cloudy with a threat of rain. Of course we didn't get any. It was clear for just about all of second half. In the afternoon I zeroed the rotator and reset all 4 axes. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:04 dcamera 544( 719) 122 64 9.1 10.3 10.7 9.6 9.0 -- 1.34 19:16 GUIDER 323( 634) 125 67 9.3 10.0 10.4 9.3 9.1 Clear 1.67 19:19 NA2gdr -1387(20612) 126 68 9.3 9.9 10.3 9.3 9.0 Clear 1.73 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 55 11 17 226 (SW) 1464 clear none 17:00 55 12 12 259 (W) 1520 clear none 18:00 54 11 12 263 (W) 1422 clear none 19:00 54 9 18 263 (W) 1624 mstly clr none 20:00 48 5 22 245 (WSW) 1424 mstly clr none 21:00 49 3 17 239 (WSW) 1431 ptly cldy none 22:00 49 4 18 260 (W) 1394 cloudy none 23:00 47 2 19 268 (W) 2676 cloudy dust 00:00 46 2 10 308 (NW) 16768 cloudy dust 01:00 46 3 11 39 (NE) 2453 cloudy none 02:00 43 9 13 53 (NE) 2146 clear none 03:00 43 11 8 61 (ENE) 2151 clear none 04:00 44 10 7 303 (WNW) 2344 clear none 05:00 42 11 7 34 (NE) 2576 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
