The particle counts spiked when the wind shifted through the western direction; any wind direction outside the range 240-280 seemed to be all right. Over the course of the night the visible hot spots from the ridge did diminish, especailly after the wind shifted to the northeast; hopefully the fire can be put out on Friday before strong winds arrive on the weekend. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:52 dcamera 666( 981) -42 66 12.2 13.0 13.0 12.8 12.2 - 1.37 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 16 12 271 (W) 487 mstly clr none 17:00 61 17 15 303 (WNW) 387 mstly clr none 18:00 59 17 13 274 (W) 1435 mstly clr dust 19:00 57 16 12 278 (W) 1404 mstly clr dust 20:00 55 11 13 217 (SW) 619 mstly clr none 21:00 53 12 16 214 (SW) 573 ptly cldy dust 22:00 53 11 14 256 (WSW) 13735 ptly cldy none 23:00 53 11 16 274 (W) 922 ptly cldy none 00:00 52 9 17 293 (WNW) 865 ptly cldy none 01:00 51 9 9 283 (WNW) 1506 ptly cldy none 02:00 51 9 8 360 (N) 956 ptly cldy none 03:00 50 9 9 27 (NNE) 640 ptly cldy none 04:00 52 11 12 27 (NNE) 431 ptly cldy none 05:00 51 9 12 17 (NNE) 523 ptly cldy none 06:00 51 9 8 19 (NNE) 451 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
